School Resource Deputies

The Grady County Sheriff’s Office would like to welcome you to the School Resource Officer page.  Sheriff Boggess has relentlessly pursued the safety of every child in Grady County as the number one priority by establishing Grady County as the first county in Oklahoma to have all of the schools manned by specially selected, professionally trained, and fully equipped Sheriff’s Deputies.  Sheriff Boggess furthered this commitment by creating a full time School Resource Officer Division at the Grady County Sheriff’s Office.

My name is Perry Settle and as the Captain of these committed law enforcement specialists I would like to introduce you to my Division.  I would also like to inform you of some of our ongoing training and initiatives to protect and enhance the education of every child in Grady County.

The SRO Division at Grady County follows the NASRO model of Law Enforcement Officers functioning additionally as public safety educators and informal counselor/mentors.  Our SRO’s take special pride in interacting and growing relationships of trust and friendship with students and staff at each school.  Tirelessly providing safety and security during normal school hours, at athletic and other educational events our SRO’s work to keep children safe.  The Deputies of the SRO Division at the Grady County Sheriff’s Office know that each child needs that feeling of safety to excel in their learning environment.
