On 10/19/25 at around 1420 hours, Deputies of the Grady County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at Grady Memorial Hospital emergency room in Chickasha. The call was in refence to a subject who called the Emergency Department and made threats to blow up the Hospital and shoot the medical staff. Deputies started an investigation into the threats, confirmed that the threats were credible, and acted quickly to identify and locate the suspect, Cody Simmons at his residence. Deputies arrested Simmons and booked him into the Grady County Jail. Simmons bond was set at $7500.00 by the Grady County District Court for the felony charges of Harassing and Threatening Electronic Communication and Making a Telephone Bomb Threat.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The arrest records of information published or reported by the Grady County Sheriff’s Office are not an indication of guilt of any suspect.
