In late February 2025, investigators of the Grady County Sheriff’s Office started an Investigation from a referral from Oklahoma Department of Human Services. The referral stemmed from allegations a 14-year-old, juvenile who had sex with a 30-year-old male.
 
During the investigation, the juvenile and provided detailed information about the incident. During this interview it was also discovered that suspect and juvenile lived close to each other and were acquaintances. Investigators interviewed the suspect who admitted to having oral sodomy, and intercourse with the juvenile.
 
In March 2025, Luis Edgar Montelongo Jr was arrested for Lewd Acts with Minor (3 Counts) and 1st Degree Rape and booked into the Grady County Law Enforcement Center.
 
In November 2025, Luis Edgar Montelongo Jr., plead guilty to Rape in the 2nd Degree and was sentenced to 15 years in prison with all but 9 suspended.
